The "E: Directory /var/log/apt/" error is not a problem. Normally linux keeps a log of the 'apt-get jobs' and stores them there, but due to the small memory left on the device this was deactivated, hence the error. I not sure what else to say right now but as you will be up long before me on Monday I recommend you read this thread as it explains more about storing/running apps from an SD card;
