Actually, the story how I bought the jetbook (and why that color) is quite entertaining:

I am located in Poland and Ectaco's main retailer in Poland is MediaMarkt. Generally I dislike that store, but this time I had no choice (and I also wanted to check prices of some other electronic goods at MM). I spotted a burgundy Jetbook on display. Alas, it wasn't charged, so I had to ask the shop assistant to charge it for me. Which she did after a long while, but seemingly the jetbook didn't want to charge at all. And then she said: "I am a real blonde!" It turned out she'd taken a charger from a different Ectaco device and plugged it into the headphone socket! Then she found the correct charger and I was able to see the Jetbook come to life. I immediately knew that I liked the screen (as said before, it reminds me of Visor Edge screen, which used to be very easy on my eyes). The MM assistant inserted a memory card full of ebooks into the jetbook and I noticed it was quite a nice ebook pack (in fact most of them were the classics offered on jetbook.net site).

At that point I was sure I was going to buy the jetbook; the lady said it was the last one, but a moment later changed her mind and said they still had one black jetbook. So I asked for the black one, paid at the checkout and got my jetbook ... only to find the memory card wasn't included with it. So I went back to the assistant and learnt that the card was only a demo which belonged to the display unit; it was not the part of the standard pack. Without much consideration I said I wanted the display unit then, together with the card. As a result I got $10 discount and the memory card full of ebooks and ... a burgundy Jetbook.

One more thing: in the package there was a CD with many Ectaco dictionaries. The Palm and PocketPC ones are demos, but all the Windows ones are full copies (about 30 of them!). If you take into account that each of these is worth about $40 (if you buy them from the Ectaco website, elsewhere they can be found cheaper), you might say the Jetbook itself was just a bonus added on top of these dictionaries

I hope I answered your question in enough detail
