I like to keep the backup (collection) on the hard disk with data DVDs as an additional backup. I have about 2,000 fiction/scifi books in multiple formats that I have collected over the years. I also have a great number of engineering/science/history books that do not at this time lend themselves to conversion on the Reader.

Also, all books are in the internal memory. I too have removed the 2GB San Disk card from the Reader.
