oh, i agree !! german cakes and pastries are soooo good ! i love them because they're not too sweet and they don't use much butter-cream in general (i hate butter-cream, bleargh). of course, german cakes and polish cakes are pretty similar, and i was raised on my grandmother's polish cooking (she's an excellent cook), so it's in my blood. i can't help but love them. german bread is delicious too ! schwartzbrot, mmmm !!!!
