One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn is a book i first read aged 11 and still regularly reread. I am now 45. I remain as captivated now as i was then.

As a tangent to the topic, i have a book which i haved owned since publication (1986)which i find impossible to read. I have tried so many times over the last 20 odd years and would really like to finish it. It is Shootdown,The Verdict on KAL007, by R.W.Johnson.
