I often read "Spiegel" and other magazines on iRex iLiad, color and ca. 40MB. Comparable to your file.
Just checked your file.
On irex iLiad, initial startup takes 13 seconds.
Turning pages is less than 1 second.
Jumping to a specific page took 4 seconds.
Very readable, even without zooming.
