I hate this forum, every time I read a thread I come out with a list of books I want to read or re-read, lol.

I like to re-read books once in a while. Some I've re-read because the book really touched on something for me. Also, when I'm bored or need to get away from my life I often re-read romance books.

In the first category I would put the Dune (though it's been a while since the last time), Lord of the Ring, and Dancers at the end of time series, and also East of Eden. In the second category, I recently re-read all of Jane Austen's "main" novels, plus several books of a lesser literary worth but that made for a welcome distraction at the time

This thread reminded me of the Amber series, which I loved but can't remember for certain whether I re-read or not. I don't think I still have them, I got rid of all my books about 10 years ago before moving to Japan. They don't seem to be available in e-format, what a shame...
