I was just at Nellis Air Force base (I'm a USAF retiree), and picked up another PRS-700 (I really like mine, so I picked up one for the spouse) for just 199.00 US, and they said that they were expecting the PRS-300/600 sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Those of you who do have access to NEX/AAFES, I suggest that you check out the deals, since rumor has it that all bases are clearing them out, including the PRS-505 for around 175.00.
