In the case of the Hanlin V3, almost all the available firmwares are very similar or identical to the standard Hanlin version from Jinke. See Hanlin V3 (& Clones) Firmware Roundup. The Lbook firmware tends to be different in look and feel and in features, and is worth trying out. The OpenInkPot firmware is completely different, and not associated with Jinke in any way.

Since the Hanlin V5 is new, its firmware is even more likely to be close to the standard Jinke version.
