This topic already has a thread in the Reading Recommendation forum, but I think it might draw more interest here.

Back in the early waves of suvudu free library ebook offerings, there's a novel (book 1) of Marla Mason series by Tim Pratt titled Blood Engine. It's a fantasy novel, and after I read the first book, i went to find more and got the following 3 ebooks of the series from bob and amazon.
I contacted the author asking for the schedule of the next Book (#5). While the reply was quick, sad news was that there might or might not be Book #5.
Now, at http://www.marlamason.net/boneshop the author is offering free serialized prequel of his series (up to Chapter 10 now). He also has the paypal piggybank for readers to donate and support him.
