Look, there's a 4% reportable (i.e. at least moderate) chance of complications every year from wearing contact lenses and long term wear, per several studies recently, seems to thin the cornea. Any "soloution" which involves people wearing contact lenses is going to lead to an awful lot of people with eye problems.
Dataglasses which project onto the retina? Well yea, good potential afaik.
