Point taken. There are always exceptions (perhaps she hired a staffer that could read that season?) to every rule. I do know what he meant, though, as far as having reservations concerning being on the list. At least Whitney Houston doesn't have to worry about being selected, as her taste in music seems to be more about talent than backstory (you can listen to Houston's newest album online at oprah.com for free and it sounds pretty good)

This freebie from Amazon doesn't interest me one bit....
HOWEVER, this freebie was mentioned by chilady1 and it was kind of her to point this out, because there are some people who may want to read it, for any number of reasons....thanks again, chilady1, for mentioning it.

I probably won't read it either (I picked it up as I thought my mother might read it and that only from the title). But I do appreciate her mentioning the book, as I do others. There are often books I won't read that are brought up (I'll admit, I don't even download any of the Horror genre anymore, nor any Zombie Apocalypse books, not to mention specific authors I skip as a matter of course). But I know that there is always an audience for (well-written) books in any genre. Otherwise the bookstore wouldn't have all those sections I don't browse thru.
