That's a bit of a generalisation. Strong
light shouldn't affect eInk screens at all. Very high
temperatures can do, but if you read in the shade, that really shouldn't be an issue. I've used mine in 30 degree temperatures, and it's fine there; I don't know how well it would cope at 40+, though.
