This is Exactly how I feel. reading in the sun is difficult on paper, and to a lesser extent the kindle 1.

my most pleasurable reading in the sun happened on the darker screens of the 500 and the 700. the 500 was nearly impossible to read at night though.

also the 505 screen really hurt my eyes when I tried to read on it for over an hour in the sun. but damn it's a nice screen.

when I do get a new device, I'm gonna think about getting a film for the screen to make it darker, cause I love reading outside in the spring/fall when its nice of course I would take it off when inside.
