The PRS-500 is a "first generation" eInk device; I was referring to modern, 2nd-generation devices with VizPlex screens. The screens on the PRS-505, Kindle 1, and Kindle 2 are indentical. I mean REALLY identical, as in "made on the same production line".
The PRS-300 has the same screen as the other 5" devices (Opus, Hanlin V5, etc) and will look "sharper" because it has a slightly higher dot pitch than the 6" screens (200dpi v. 167). The PRS-600 has the same screen as the 505, but it will look a little "fuzzier" due to the touch-sensitive layer. The underlying screen, however, is identical to the 505's.
