Not quite on the subject but related, Margaret Atwood signed the first remote autograph using a remotely connected tablet/ plotter combo.
She was in an other city and signed her autograph on a tablet. At the same time in an other city, a plotter outfitted with a pen wrote her input exactly, inside the pages of a book.
