WARNING !! HORRIFYING ARACHNID FROM HELL ALERT !!!!

right now i am wondering whether a good stiff drink would calm my nerves after encountering the farking

GIGANTO MONSTROUS NIGHTMARE SPIDER FROM HELL

IN MY BEDROOM.

i came home from doing my shopping and went in my bedroom and immediately my eyes were drawn to a terrifying black shape on the curtain. IMMEDIATELY ABOVE MY BED. the thing was at least 7 or 8cm across (probably bigger close up). i nearly had a heart attack. in fact my hands are still shaking and sweating a bit and my mouth is dry and my heart is beating too fast and i've got that sort of jangly adrenaline nerves.

for once, i bless those workmen across the courtyard because there is no way i could have taken care of that thing myself, in fact i was seriously considering taking the cats and moving to a hotel and setting fire to the place on my way out. luckily the workmen were still being noisy in the appartment directly opposite so i went to the window and called out "ohé, over there, could you do me a favour ? you're not afraid of spiders, are you ?" so one of the workmen, who shall henceforth be known as "my hero", came over, made fun of me a tiny bit, and then caught the eldritch horror in the biggest glass i had (it barely fit !!!! that's how farking huge it was !!!!!!) and then i made him take it all the way downstairs and outside into the street before he let it go. he wanted to put in the trash bin in the courtyard but that was not nearly far enough away. even now i'm afraid the thing will somehow find its way back.

while i was waiting for him to climb the stairs (and keeping an eye on it from a safe distance so it couldn't get away, because seriously i could not have stayed here knowing it was loose somewhere) i took a photo of it so you can share my terror (because a burden shared is half as heavy, right ?) so, for the faint-hearted amongst you, DON'T LOOK AT THE PICTURE !!!! bear in mind, that photo was taken from the other side of the room, with a cell-phone camera. and i did not enlarge it AT ALL (juste cropped out the rest). seriously, almost 10cm across.

now of course i'm going to be jumping at every shadow and afraid to go to bed tonight in case it was actually just the little brother of a farking entire family. i think i may die. what the hell is the point of living in a city if you still get a spider like that IN YOUR HOME ????? for god's sake, THAT is why i don't want to live in the bleeding country !!!!! oh my god. i may never recover. i think half my hair went white at the sight of it. somebody get me a whisky, or maybe some morphine, or something.
