I use my Sony reader to read fan fiction and mangas...also some electronic books. For me it's worth it because I love reading and hate finishing my book in the middle of a trip. If you're in another country it's sometimes hard to find english language books. I also like that I can read a 1000 page novel and it's still the same size as a 50 page book. So my e-reader fits rather well in my purse and doesn't take up a ton of space even though I'm now carrying over 200 novels and fan fiction stories.
