Oddly enough, my biological father died on 22 Dec 63, one month after JFK's assasination. my"Dad" the guy who raised me, died almost a month before Teddy.

aha. all becomes clear now.
i don't think i've met any celebrities. although i do know there is a movie actor who lives not far from me, a friend of mine is constantly winding up behind him in the grocery checkout queue, but i suspect even if i saw him it wouldn't register. i have a thing about only recognising people in context.
