Adam Hills had a nice bit in his stand-up routine about the 2005 win. He was in England at the time, and says how nice everyone was to him, very polite and not crowing at all.

The he went to the post office to get a stamp for a letter home. The cost of an airmail letter to Australia then was 68p...
