I ran across this info on Sony today - I couldn't find anyone else discussing it.

They are offering the opportunity for self-publishing, and for smaller publishers to create a relationship where their e-books can be sold. It isn't "up" yet, but it seems to be an indication that Sony is trying to grow the e-book market.
Well, it can't hurt their profits either.
