So the minimum wage is actually around 18$... and you can hardly make a living of that.
But it is a problem: Instead of working overtime doing more operations, it's more profitable for the doctor to go home and work on his veranda or whatever (instead of hiring a professional).
I myself have suddenly learned to put up drywalls etc. after I have bought my own house. And I am definitely not a handyman.
It is a bit of a national sport, however, to get the work done without receipt. But I don't have the stomach for being a part of tax evasion. |
