rogue, concerning compiling softwares for q7, is it possible to use Nokia software for N800 series, Sandbox (if my memory served me right). It runs on PC/i386 but compiles binary for arm architecture. Setting up and speed should be tolerable. There are the stuff about hildon and SDK that one might have to avoid. I'm not an expert though.
