It worked like a charm! Too bad my card reader suddenly refuses to read the card from my camera, otherwise I'd be posting pictures now...
We learned two things: 1: put some oil on first, otherwise it won't even look like pancake (but it will taste like one) and 2: make sure the fire isn't too hot, the bottom will almost burnt before the top has dried enough to turn the pancake around.
Filled pancakes work the best: first layer rather thick, put the cheese and bacon on (one advantage of having a large baking area is you can pre-bake the bacon while baking the pancake) and top it off with some more batter. Then turn it around and put some colour on the top layer. Yummie!
