Obviously people are enjoying reading on their ebook readers. If they didn't they wouldn't keep reading on them and keeping posting on these forums.

I don't personally have an eInk reader, but an LCD based one (The Jetbook) and I can see the advantage of eInk... in the sense that when you get pulled away from reading for a while (Have a new infant at home that makes it hard to get any reading time in), you don't have battery issues to worry about.

It wont. It wont because anyone who buys one of these things is the type of person who makes frivolous purchases. We will buy more ebooks than we can read (before this you probably bought more paper books than you could read...you know, just to have them), upgrade devices within two years—if that long, and pay for repairs when the flimsy screens inevitably shatter.
Not true. I have had my Jetbook since October of 2008, I have yet to buy a book for it. I have been taking advantage of Project Gutenburg, feed books, Manybooks.net and Baen's free books. I do plan on buying some books eventually, but at the moment, I have definitely saved money on the books I would have bought otherwise.

Now if you insist on reading only new books, well, then it does take a while to make up the difference in price.
