MY VENT:

WHY does my 5yo act like a 17yo with a major attitude??? I was the "good" girl, my sister was the difficult one. WHY do I have HER child????
When Shannon was 12 or 13 she started to get a MAJOR attitude. We were yelling at each other over some silly thing and I just snapped. I decided to tell her a few home truths about how she was brought into this world; 42 weeks of pregnancy, 36 hours of labor and finally an emergency C-section because she just REFUSED to be born. I wasn't proud of my behaviour, but it did work. She lost the attitude and her teen years were remarkably peaceful. Now that she's 22, she still points to that conversation as a pivotal moment in our relationship. . .and thanks me for it.

Not that you should do it, though. Your daughter is much too young.
