the specs and description changed a lot during the last few months. Will be interesting to see what actually gets into the device when it's released, some of the specs are rather vague ("PDF, HTML, Office, ePub and more").

Of all the readers I've seen so far they packed every known wireless gadget into the device plus more (in the specs they mention some mysterious near field communication which apparently doesn't even have a name. Can't be Bluetooth as that one is mentioned separately...)
It'll be quite difficult to get decent battery time with all that, especially wifi and UMTS chips are known to suck small batteries empty in relatively short time.

Next thing I am curious about is the UMTS/GPRS modem. No indication of whether you can actually use it with your own provider or if it's same thing as Kindle and just connects to the txtr portal.

Also, I'm not too sure whether I like the portal idea after all the things I've heard about the Kindle. Might be paranoid but I am somewhat cautious handing over my documents, books, texts, etc to some portal...
