That's true. Actually, what I am doing RIGHT NOW is listening to the beaters as The Loved One makes up a Lemon Pudding (which we'll have with custard). It's not a muffin, but at least I haven't made any excuses to eat it.

Geckos can be the same. We get lots of them in the house (and out) during summer, and I enjoy their chirping from the high walls and their attacks on the insect population (I think they're a big part of our limited number of mossies we get), but they do tend to leave little choc-mint Tic tacs around the house. Fortunately, we're pretty much "wipe-clean" here, with tiles and leather chairs and such (plus they tend to stick mostly to insect-central - oor entry foyer/atrium), though one of our near-neighbours is less fond of them, having gone for white fabric and light carpet throughout her house.
