I'm just playing around with my laptop right now. I had sent it in for repairs a few weeks ago. It just came back about 10 minutes ago. Complete with a brand new LCD, hinges, and keyboard. It would seem I was too quick to judge her as scrap. Though I'll still probably get a netbook once the Pixel Qi technology is available (in fact if anything it makes such a purchase more likely, since I'll have something more powerful to fall back on when being able to use it anywhere isn't the priority).

The funny thing is that just today I went to check on the status of the repairs. The site Officemax linked to suggested that they were still in progress.
