Did Amazon just send an update to Kindle DXs?

I'm sitting at my desk with my DX in front of me (but I'm doing something else) and it went to the reading tree image, said something about restarting and then the progress bar appeared and, uh, progressed. It looked like it rebooted and now it's back to where it was.

Version # is 2.1, last three digits 062. Last time this happened the update was some sort of internal wifi thing. I don't remember what the version number was before, sorry.

Edited to add: just found an earlier thread about this and the version number is the same, so must be a small internal change. I do wish Amazon would at least tell us what they are doing!
