Actually, in the current firmware (33c) there's a bit of a bug affecting text, that is: it removes single line breaks. This looks great for Project Gutenberg texts, but not-so-great for the included books that come on the device.

Mobi works fine, ePUB works, and this new firmware also supports HTML. I use mostly ePUB and handmade PDF's (either my own or PDF's from ManyBooks/FeedBooks).
