Yeah, it's just what your needs are.

I'd consider a Tablet device when costs are around $300-350 and Battery life is up to at least 6 hours with intensive use (movie playback etc.) and longer for just reading things, taking notes etc.

I have a lot of interest in a multi media tablet, I wouldn't by something that was just an e-reader/notepad.

I don't need to mark up e-documents enough to by a device just for that (I'm fine with real books and printouts for my academic word) and my Kindle has my reading covered.

But put those features in something that can do movies, music, games, internet, e-mail etc. and I'll take the plunge when price and feature set is right.
