I also bought Hackmaster Basic from Kenzerco.
Very different, and it hearkens back to the older AD&D 1e days.
I loved 3.0, though there were some glitches. 3.5 was much better, although I wasn't too impressed with some changes they did. I felt they should have just taken 3.5, and overhauled it, getting rid of the chaff, and fine-tuning it. Instead they dropped it and took it in a new direction.
And as for 4e, it was so vastly different that I could not really get into it. I have the first 3 books, and some things I like, but I spose the feel of the game seems too different. Not meanign to offend anyone who likes it. I just prefer 3.5
But yes, I am glad that a company like Paizo is committed to continuing the 3.5 game system further.
