Nah. I read it simply as humour said with a straight face. (without a smiley).
If you saw rixte's reply, he did it as well. I don't see any malice in anything that was written.
That's the difficulty with forums and the written word...it is very difficult to get a dry humour across without either a crap load of smileys, or without it coming off as though you're a prick.
(not calling anyone a prick, just stating in general)
