Ibuprofen and codeine, followed two hours later by paracetamol, followed 2 hours later by more ibuprofen and codeine. Plus heat pads. I'd end up in a drugged-up mind fug, but pain free enough to carry on. However, I now strongly recommend the mirena coil - it's made things lighter and almost pain free (I've tried not to go into tmi
