Removing blank lines between paragraphs?

I have a few RTF files converted from PDB files that have double line spacing between paragraphs. Is there anyway to remove these lines in Word but keep the indent at the start of every paragraph? How do I do it for just single lines (also common)?

Using find and replace with ^p^p and ^p works if I do it twice but it removes the indents.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere.

I've tried reformating the file in BD but it removes the italics if I do that.
