Dear All:

Just a note to remind everybody that the annual 500,000 attendee extravaganza known as CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is four months away (January 7-10 in Las Vegas). This year CES is spotlighting eBook Readers with a special Pavilion. eBooks have finally hit the big time!

This show captures little mention and even less interest on MobileRead Forum. For such an informed audience about eBooks and Readers you would expect a huge party or something with a band. I fail to understand this as CES is where every eBook Reader company will be showing their current models and showing prototypes of what is coming for the entire year. It, likely, should be so critical to MobilereadForum members that they swarm the show. Motels and Hotels are cheap and you can find rooms as low as $30 a night. Shuttle buses take you from your hotel to the Convention Center. Food is always cheap in Las Vegas (Steak and Eggs platter at night can still be had for $2.99 in some places). Airfare to and from Las Vegas is heavily subsidized by the Casinos.
