You made me do it
Here's two more photos to show the colour. Halogen light is very yellow, so I went outside to get some natural day light. It's 7.30 here, but sunset is not until 9, and it's overcast, so the colour of the light should still be relatively neutral.
Edit: you mentioned your Macbook; when I hold the device close to my aluminium iMac, it's the same colour, only the Mac has a slightly coarser surface texture.
I am sure all this extra information will make it even easier to choose
(caveat: I can't say if the new 600 has the same surface treament as the 505)
