I turned on my Cybook which has been sitting quietly on my dining room table for the last four months only to see this. The faint lines are when it is off. The plaid pattern is when it is turning on. The lines at the top are when it is on. Calibre recognizes the device and loads books on and off of it. it is fully charged and i have attempted reset. The Cybook is one and a half years old.

I am willing to be convinced that this is a broken screen due to some mysterious accident, I just want your views on whether there is a chance it is something else (less expensive or complicated to fix).
