The Opus has to be completely vertical for the accelerometer to take the movement into account. After that, though, you can use at you preferred angle.
But for those who have an Opus now, you'll be too entrenched in ePub to bother with Mobipocket. So releasing a Mobipocket firmware is a waste of Bookeen's resources (IMHO).
