My apologizes for the confusion. By "back lit" I meant some sort of built in lighting implementation. It doesn't have to be in the back of the screen, such as a phone or such.
While I understand the 700 had a light feature, I also understood this to have degraded the image quality. This was one of the reasons why I did not purchase this model.
I can't see why this would be so difficult, really. I mean, the 505's lighted cover works extreemly well. I think the main reason why it does work, is because of the added screen to increase the diffusion of the light.
I think it can be done eventually. But until then, I think I am going to stick with my 505. While I can see the point of adding a model with the touch screen features; I feel that the 300 would be pointless, really. Then again, I may be missing something.
