Isn't it also very possible that robertb has received a lot of private messages? I've sent a few that were never replied to, and I've even received some emails that I thought I had responded to, but never did. Lot's of things can happen between between receiving one message request and when you reply, and it very well may have been that it was on a list of things to do, but his own personal work came first and was subsequently forgotten in time.
It's also a professional standard not to rely on only one message. (Not saying that you have, just in general). If, after a suitable time has passed, you receive no reply, send a second, stating that a first message was sent with no reply, and you still are awaiting information. This will also act as a reminder, and will most likely be answered more quickly. After that, a third message sent, this time with an ultimatum of some kind. "We're giving you 1 week to reply or we start cutting toenails" or some such.
Lastly, he may have received your letter, but misunderstood it. In which case, a second message should have been sent as a reminder, instead of harboring a grudge against him and his company. Your comments, where they do not come right out and state it, do in fact give a deep impression that you are not wanting to promote anything of robert or his company, and if this is due to personal feelings of being slighted on an unreceived message, you need to act more professionally.
