He comes across as a real gentleman, but it's a bummer that I won't be able to make it to the meet-up -- I'm in the midst of setting up a party right now with the rest of the George R.R. Martin fan club (Brotherhood Without Banners).
On the other hand, I met the first ever person who ever admitted to having bought the kindle version of my novel, so it's not all bad.
I have been evangelizing the pros of e-ink all week and showing off my Sony and answering the usual protests of "but I can't read a whole book off a screen"... We'll see if I get any converts.
