What I want from a new Sony Reader

Disclaimer; I've got a 505, and consider the 300, 600, and 700 not worth a look. 9

I'm happy with my 505. Very happy. I use it every day, the battery life is great, the readability is fantastic, the page turns are snappy enough, and I love the open formats viewable on the unit. I've never purchased from the Sony bookstore, nor will I until they drop the DRM, and if they don't, oh well....not my loss. I primarily buy from Fictionwise and Baen books.

Here's what I want in a new Sony (cll it the Prs-800, 900 or 1000 whatever);

1) An 9.7 inch screen.
2) Support for reading more document formats
3) An improved ebook store that sells newspaper subscriptions (and i do not care if these are drm'd, since I would be done with them in a day or two tops and then delete them) and magazine subscriptions.
4) Prices that fairly reflect the price of digital distribution. I suspect, but cannot prove that it is lower.
5) And, you got it; if I'm paying 10$ plus per book, it will not be drm'd. If my machine is bricked or if i buy an iRex, Kindle, Bebbok or Hanline, I am going to move my content to the new unit. Without cost. Sony, this is not a negotiable issue.

Currently, I can not buy the Kindle (am in Canada). But I can buy the Sony a 5 minute walk away from my house. Although Sony is essentially my only choice for hadrware, it is not my only choice for content. Get it right and you have my money
