The latest EZ Reader firmware does use mobile Adobe Digital Editions to render ePubs, but I have only tried DRM-free ePubs. I posted some screenshots here.

I am surprised there is an issue with Adobe DRM for ePubs, since it is virtually identical with the DRM on Adobe PDFs.

I know many people just want to read ebooks without hassling with conversion steps, but the program used to remove Adobe DRM is among the easiest to use. See Adobe ADEPT DRM for EPUB circumvented, which also discusses the legal issues in detail. In summary, in the US it is probably legal to strip DRM from ebooks you bought for personal use and even if not a) who would know and b) who would care?
