A couple of weeks ago, when we began having the discussion about whether Sony was leaving the ebook business or not, I made the guess that Sony was focusing on supporting the digital book (as an industry) rather than simply trying to keep up with the Amazon/Kindle juggernaut ("keeping up with the Jones")

I agree with you that Sony is going in the right direction. By focusing on making an affordable product with emphasizing its access to google books and libraries rentals and by selling the readers at best buy, costco, and walmarts, the marketing department has shown its genius.
However, I am still puzzled by mentioned in other sources that a wireless reader is in the works -- why is Sony waiting on that announcement?
