I'm not sure I see the point of these. Is it not less hassle to simply use a "conventional" reading lamp? Are these lights sold for reading in dim places away from home, or what? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I can't, off-hand, think of any situation in which I'd want to read where an "external" light source isn't readily available!
