of course not ! in august, most parisians are somewhere else. probably they are all planning their holiday travels around the meetups scheduled elsewhere. which means that, in a certain sense, all non-parisian august meetups are in fact parisian meetups. therefore, we've got 3 of them planned this month, so we're still ahead of the game ! better get cracking, texas, you're faaar behind !!
