I like that it runs on AAA batteries - I use rechargeables.

I have had this same booklight for 2 years now and I LOVE it. It is super stable, I can read upside down or right side up with it, and I think in 2 years I've changed the batteries once. I use it w/ my Sony right now, but have ordered the Mighty Bright Travelflex light because it can store in the M-Edge case. When it arrives, I'll let you know how the gooseneck holds up in an inverted reading position.
