I've read all three, and while I agree that they aren't worth the $15 a pop price at fictionwise, they're quite entertaining. If you can get them cheaper, or from your library, I would totally recommend them.

The third book does include a weird supernatural twist, and I really don't think is all that great, but I still enjoyed it. One notable change from the TV series, is that the kids (Astor and Cody), are featured much more, and in a way I doubt the TV show ever will.
